Announcing: August 26, 2006. Knoxville Tennessee The Tennessee Woman's Suffrage Memorial is to be unveiled at Krutch Park on August 26, 2006, the anniversary of the date in 1920 when ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, granting women the right to vote, was certified. Planned celebrations include a suffrage tea, and reception, a suffrage parade and statue ceremony. Calling all actors, historians, and others who would donate their time: We are looking for actors, both men and women who could reenact the historical characters involved in the 1920 final battle to win the voting rights for American women. Auditions: Monday, July 31 7:00 pm- 9:00 pm Where: The Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church 2931 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN 37919 Actors must be available August 6, August 25th and August 26th Also looking for strong singers who want to march in the parade.
